GAP Ministries seeks to reach out into the community to those in need of food or clothing. We operate as a drop in for those who need to talk or just need company. There are many lonely in Moira and surrounding areas. Our main activity is the charity shop which is open Mon-Sat varying hours. This is under the umbrella of GAP which also includes a foodbank, Crochet classes and Knit + Natter. We are hoping to open a soup kitchen sometime in the future.

Higher grounds opened in October 2016.  We are a not-for-profit coffee house supporting community.  The coffee house opens two evenings during the week, Thursdays & Fridays 7-10pm with play cafe environments running during the day.

Headspace is a ‘drop-in play café’ environment, within the Higher Grounds building.  It is designed to support parents and families with children and young people with additional needs.  This is a place to relax, meet friends and enjoy some ‘Headspace’.

It runs every Friday afternoon 3-5.30pm.

Precious pre-schoolers is run as a ‘drop-in play café’ environment, for mums/dads/carers and their pre-school age children.

Community lunch is a weekly space providing lunch of soup/sandwiches to those who may be feeling lonely or isolated in our community.

These lunches provide an opportunity of friendship and fellowship.

Mum and Baby Hub is a fortnightly café and baby space for mums and new borns up to 1 year.  A safe place of love, support and encouragement also offering a listening ear and the opportunity to meet other mums.

Vibe Revision Hub creates a quiet study space so you can maximise your revision time with little distractions in a supportive, encouraging and supervised environment.  The revision hub runs on a weekly basis, during the school exam period for students sitting GCSE, AS and A-Level exams and those students aged 16+.

Dads space is a space for dads, father figures and their children to gather, enjoy breakfast and use of play/creative space.

One Saturday a month.

(We also support Place of Grace and the Baby Love project).
